1. 110+ years of history

It all started in Stuttgart in 1912 when Karl Meissner and Paul Wurst founded the company, filling their first patent for a wood chip extractor. The company first operated under the founders’ names as Meissner und Wurst, later as M+W, and since 2018 as Exyte. Today it is a global market leader in the planning, development and delivery of high-tech facilities in the semiconductor, battery, biopharma and life sciences, and data center businesses.

Exyte plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility. At the heart of battery cell production facilities lie dry rooms, a testament to Exyte's engineering capabilities. Having constructed Europe's largest dry room to date, Exyte demonstrates a core competency in this domain. Through the establishment of multiple battery cell production facilities across Germany and other European countries, Exyte actively contributes to the decarbonization of mobility. Moreover, Exyte's delivery of semiconductor manufacturing facilities is crucial in supporting the shift towards autonomous driving trends.

6. Own manufacturing in Renningen

Just half an hour drive outside of Stuttgart, Exyte’s subsidiary Exyte Technology develops, manufactures, and maintains controlled production environments and cleanroom products for customers all over the world. 

7. Expansion course

In the second half of 2023, Exyte strengthened its Technology & Services business area by acquiring the Munich-based company Intega GmbH with around 300 employees. The vertical integration of Intega helps Exyte to expand its expertise of critical subsystems for high-tech systems, particularly in the semiconductor industry.
